Ivim Health — Full Profile
Ivim Health — Provider Profile
Overview
Ivim Health is a telehealth weight loss platform that separates itself from the async-only majority through a more hands-on clinical model: weekly provider check-ins and personalized dose adjustments throughout treatment. Where most compounded GLP-1 providers handle consultations asynchronously at the start and rarely follow up, Ivim builds ongoing provider contact into the program structure.
The pricing reflects that clinical model — patients pay a medication cost plus a recurring program fee ($74.99/month) that covers the provider support infrastructure. Total monthly cost lands around $150 for semaglutide and $224 for tirzepatide, which is competitive with mid-range compounded options given the clinical support included. The platform operates nationwide.
April 2026 context: Ivim uses compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide. These medications are not FDA-approved — they are prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies. FDA enforcement pressure on compounders is ongoing. Patients choosing any compounded pathway should weigh the regulatory environment against the cost gap with brand-name medications.

Medications Offered
- Compounded semaglutide injectable — Not FDA-approved; compounded through licensed 503A pharmacy partners
- Compounded tirzepatide injectable — Not FDA-approved; same pharmacy network

| Medication | Monthly Cost | What's Included |
|---|---|---|
| Compounded semaglutide | ~$150/mo total | $75 medication + $74.99 program fee; consultation, weekly check-ins, shipping |
| Compounded tirzepatide | ~$224/mo total | $149 medication + $74.99 program fee; consultation, weekly check-ins, shipping |
The program fee covers weekly provider check-ins and dose adjustment support. Patients comparing Ivim against lower-cost async-only providers should factor in the clinical support included — if you'd otherwise be paying separately for follow-up consultations, the program fee can represent good value.
States Served
Available nationwide.
Insurance
- Consultation and program: Included in program fee
- Medication: Compounded medications are not covered by insurance. Ivim is a cash-pay platform. Patients with insurance coverage for branded GLP-1s should compare total out-of-pocket cost before choosing a compounded pathway.
Consultation Process
Model: Initial async intake with ongoing synchronous provider check-ins.
- Complete an online intake questionnaire covering health history, current medications, BMI, and weight loss goals
- A provider reviews your submission and contacts you to confirm your program plan
- If approved, compounded medication ships from licensed pharmacy partner
- Weekly provider check-ins for dose review, side effect management, and titration decisions
- Direct messaging available between scheduled check-ins
Pros
- Weekly provider check-ins — more clinical contact than async-only platforms
- Personalized dose adjustments based on ongoing provider review
- Both semaglutide and tirzepatide available
- Nationwide availability
- Structured program model rather than medication-only delivery
Cons
- Compounded medications only — no FDA-approved supply chain

- Cash-pay only — no insurance pathway
- No in-person care option
Best For
Patients who want more clinical support than a standard async telehealth visit provides and are willing to pay a modest premium for weekly check-ins. Particularly suited to patients who are new to GLP-1 medications and expect to need guidance on titration, side effect management, or dose adjustments.
Not ideal for: Patients purely optimizing for minimum monthly cost (try Belle Health or Henry Meds), patients who want FDA-approved brand-name medications (try LillyDirect or Hims), or patients who need insurance navigation (try Zealthy).
Editorial Verdict
Ivim fills a gap in the compounded GLP-1 market: clinical support beyond the initial consultation. Most platforms in this price range are medication-delivery services with asynchronous intake and minimal follow-up. Ivim's weekly check-in model is more aligned with how weight loss medication is managed in traditional clinical settings.
At $74.99/month, the program fee materially raises the total versus bare-minimum providers. For patients confident managing titration on their own, the premium isn't justified. For patients who want a provider actively involved through dose increases, the weekly check-in structure is worth the difference.
The compounded medication caveat applies: these are not FDA-approved medications, and the regulatory environment is active. Ivim's clinical model doesn't change that fundamental characteristic.
Bottom line as of April 2026: Ivim is the compounded GLP-1 option for patients who want ongoing provider involvement baked into the program. Weekly check-ins are included — not an upgrade. Patients who don't need that level of support will pay more than necessary here.

Tirzepatide protocol was good but support got slower in month three
The first two months with Ivim on compounded tirzepatide were excellent. Quick approval, thoughtful starting dose (2.5mg), good titration guidance via the weekly check-ins. My provider was responsive and specific in responses. Month three, something changed. Response times stretched from same-day to 2–3 days. The weekly check-in forms felt like they were going into a queue. I don't know if my provider changed or if they took on more patients. I messaged directly asking if something had shifted and got a polite non-answer. I'm still with Ivim — I've lost 17 lbs in four months and the medication has worked. But the service quality dip in month three was noticeable enough to drop this from four stars to three. Hoping it was temporary.

The program fee is worth it if you actually use the check-ins
I've been with Ivim for five months. The weekly check-in system delivers real value when you engage with it — I've had my dose adjusted four times and avoided two situations where I might have pushed titration too fast. My total monthly cost is around $190 and I've reconciled myself to that. What I'd push back on slightly is whether every patient needs the weekly cadence. In months three through five I've been stable and the check-ins are routine. It would be nice to have an option to shift to bi-weekly check-ins at a reduced fee once you've established a protocol. That said, I've lost 23 lbs and feel well-managed. The clinical quality is there — the pricing model could just be a bit more flexible.

Switched to tirzepatide after plateau and lost another 18 lbs
Started on compounded semaglutide at Ivim in September. Lost 16 lbs in the first three months and then hit a clear plateau at 1mg. My provider suggested trying compounded tirzepatide given my plateau and we switched in December. I titrated from 2.5mg up to 5mg over six weeks and have since lost another 18 lbs. Total: 34 lbs over five months. The willingness to adjust protocol — not just the dose, but the actual medication — is what separates Ivim from services where you just get a fixed refill. The program fee ($75/mo) brings my total to roughly $190/mo including the tirzepatide cost, which is steep compared to async-only services. But the clinical management has delivered real results that I wasn't getting elsewhere.

Weekly check-ins make a real difference
I tried two other telehealth GLP-1 providers before Ivim and the difference is the weekly check-ins. My provider actually adjusts my dose based on how I'm doing, not just a set schedule. The program fee adds up but for someone new to GLP-1s it's worth having that guidance.

Real results at four months but the total cost adds up
Down 26 lbs in four months on compounded semaglutide with Ivim Health. The weekly check-in system works — my provider has adjusted my dose three times based on my weekly reports and I've never felt like I was guessing about whether to titrate. The clinical side has been four-to-five star. My hesitation is purely financial. The $75/mo program fee plus medication cost brought my monthly total to around $195. That's approaching Calibrate territory, which includes lab panels and video consults. Ivim doesn't include labs, so if I want blood work I'm paying out of pocket or through my PCP. For the results I've gotten, I don't regret the spend. But potential customers should price it out honestly — it's not a budget service.
