How reconstitution works
Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides arrive as a powder in a sterile vial. To use them, you add a measured amount of bacteriostatic water, which dissolves the powder into an injectable solution at a known concentration.
Concentration: Dividing the total milligrams of peptide by the milliliters of water gives you the concentration (mg/mL). This determines how much liquid you need to draw for your prescribed dose.
Units vs. milliliters:Insulin syringes are marked in “units” rather than milliliters. A 100-unit syringe holds 1 mL, so each unit equals 0.01 mL. Our calculator converts your dose into the exact unit marking to look for on your syringe.
Important: Always follow the reconstitution instructions provided by your prescribing physician or compounding pharmacy. Water volume may differ from general guidelines depending on your specific formulation.
